Canterwood HOA Fence Submission Checklist
Our homeowner checklist covering ACC vs. golf-club distinction, chain-link prohibition, site plan, drawings, and management contact steps. Not a substitute for the official ACC application.
Canterwood ACC fence process
Confirm the residential ACC path
The golf club and the homeowners association are separate. Fence review runs through the residential Architectural Control Committee. Ask for the current Residential Guidelines—they are updated periodically. Do not use the Canterwood STEP sewer association site for architectural forms.
Design to estate and fairway standards
Chain-link is not accepted, including for pet enclosures. Picture-frame cedar, lattice-top privacy, and black hybrid hogwire are typical fits. Map sightlines on golf-adjacent or wooded lots before you lock height and placement.
Request the current ACC packet and submit
Email CWHOA@hoacommunitysolutions.com or call (253) 985-3812 for the current application. File a complete package with site plan, elevations, materials, and colors. Do not start construction until you have written approval.
Install to the approved plan
We build premium cedar and hybrid systems to the approved layout—steel-post foundations that stay straight in coastal weather, panels that follow wooded or sloped lot lines.
What makes fencing HOA-approved in Canterwood
Canterwood reviewers look for materials, color, and placement that match a gated golf community—not a generic suburban fence. Packages that skip drawings or propose chain-link stall. MyFence.com prepares ACC-ready drawings so the committee can see the finished look before a post goes in the ground.
- No chain-link; cedar, hogwire, and hybrid systems matched to estate lots
- Site plans that show gates, setbacks, and golf-course or timber sightlines
- Elevation drawings and stain/color samples attached to the ACC packet
- Steel-post construction that holds alignment on wooded and sloped parcels

Canterwood HOA approved fencing FAQs
What is Canterwood HOA approved fencing?
It means your design, materials, color, and placement pass the Canterwood residential Architectural Control Committee before install. Picture-frame cedar and black hybrid hogwire are commonly a fit; chain-link is not accepted.
Where can I get the official Canterwood fence forms?
The ACC application is not a public PDF. Request it from the Canterwood HOA office / HOA Community Solutions at CWHOA@hoacommunitysolutions.com or (253) 985-3812. CC&Rs and bylaws are posted on canterwood.org.
Is the golf club the same as the HOA?
No. Club membership is separate. Fence review is a residential ACC process. We file against the homeowners association guidelines, not club house rules.
